The side cargo pockets are way more useful than I expected — I can stash a water bottle and a notebook without even having to unclip anything. The drawstring closure on top makes it easy to stuff in a hoodie, and the whole thing feels sturdy enough for daily hauling. Exactly what I was looking for.
The top flap with its adjustable metal buckles opens wide enough that I can actually see everything inside without digging around, which is rare for a backpack this size. The drawstring closure under the flap keeps my stuff secure even when I've overstuffed it on a commute.
