Honestly wasn't sure about the velour sunglasses pocket at first, but it's perfect for keeping my shades scratch-free. The side pockets snugly hold my water bottle, and even with my laptop and a weekend's worth of clothes stuffed in, those padded mesh straps make it feel way lighter than it should.
