The side pockets actually fit my 32oz water bottle, which never happens with backpacks this size. The mesh back padding keeps me from sweating through my shirt on my commute, and the front zippered pockets are perfect for my keys and phone.
Took this on a weekend trip and the two front zippered pockets kept my charger and passport separate from the main compartment, which I appreciated. The adjustable straps actually cinch down tight enough for my frame, and the 18" x 11.5" size fits under an airplane seat without a fight.
