The faux leather has a nice matte finish that doesn't look cheap at all, and the 18x11.5 size fits my laptop plus a hoodie without bulging. The side pockets actually hold a full water bottle, which my last backpack never managed.
The front zipper pocket is surprisingly roomy, and the faux leather has a sturdy feel that I didn't expect for the price. I've been using it daily for two weeks now and it's holding up great.
