The separate velour sunglass compartment finally convinced me to stop shoving my shades in my pocket, and honestly it's the little pocket I use most now. Everything fits in the 6-inch depth without bulging, and the front zipper pocket keeps my keys from scratching my phone.
The side pockets actually fit my 32oz water bottle, which is rare for a slim bag like this. Only gripe is the front zipper pocket is a bit tight once the main compartment is full.
Took this on a weekend trip and the mesh back padding kept me from getting sweaty, which I didn't expect at this price. The velour sunglass compartment feels a little overkill for me since I just toss my shades in the top pocket anyway. Side pockets fit a water bottle fine.
